Telehealth Infectious Diseases Clinic
IPAC Foundation has launched its very first Telehealth Infectious Diseases Clinic. It is the only platform in Punjab to provide free online doctor’s consultations, lab tests advice, prescription of medicines, and information about the available vaccines to people suffering from deadly infectious diseases. In the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic, as a part of emergency response, Telehealth Infectious Diseases Clinic has also launched a free COVID-19 helpline.

Community Health Programs
IPAC Foundation intends to prevent and mitigate the effects of common infectious diseases in Pakistan, including Hepatitis (B & C), HIV, Malaria, Dengue, and Tuberculosis through the Community Health Program by engaging the VFAHT volunteers. IPAC observed Hepatitis Awareness Month 2021 following the theme of WHO “Hep Can't-Wait!”. 03 Camps were organized to educate, screen, and vaccinate the public against Hepatitis B and C. Total of 610 people were screened and 184 vaccinated so far. The camps were held at de' Montmorency College of Dentistry, Panagaah, Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi, and Rural Health Center, Kot Samba, Rahim Yar Khan by VFAHT de'Mont Local Chapter, VFAHT-RMU Local Chapter, and VFAHT SZMC Local Chapter.

Public Awareness and Outreach Program
VFAHT never misses an opportunity to prepare the youth through capacity building trainings, and to guide the masses about the importance and vitality of infection prevention and control. This program continues to strengthen the communication bond between the prevention-based health care and the general public.
VFAHT conducted number of significant outreach activities from July to September. There were total 23 activities in which 8 were on Hepatitis, 2 on Safe Blood Donation, 2 on Rabies, 2 on Patient Safety, 4 on Dengue, 2 on Tuberculosis, 2 on Covid and 1 on Importance of Oral Hygiene.

Safe Blood Donation Practices
Volunteers Training and Development Program
Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (VFAHT) is a volunteer organization working for public health in general; and infection prevention and control  in particular. More than 1500 active volunteers (enrolled medical and dental students across Pakistan) are part of VFAHT. The organization educates these volunteers with basic and advanced tools of public health  and infection prevention and control. These volunteers then educate the communities utilizing these learned tools.

Highlights of VFAHT 5th Anniversary | 2021
Chiraghdin Community Health Center, Sialkot

Infection Prevention and Control Foundation in allegiance with Chiraghdin Foundation has taken the initiative to launch a Community Health Center in Sialkot named Chiraghdin Foundation. The center will be a huge relief for patients from Sialkot and neighboring villages as it will provide quality healthcare service to around 10,000 deserving patients annually. The heritage haveli owned by Chiraghdin family will be used to house the center, almost 80% of the work is done and the center is expected to be inaugurated by December 2021.

A team from IPAC foundation visits the site every month to ensure the quality and accuracy of work. There were two visits in this quarter i.e. on July 11, 2021, and August 13, 2021, respectively.
