VFAHT Volunteers Recruitment Drive | 2022
IPAC Foundation has recruited its’ National and Local chapters under Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (VFAHT) for the term of 2022. The candidates applied from all over Pakistan. The new chapters are formed after carefully scrutinizing all the applications. A team of 360 office bearers and 1700 volunteers has been selected.

Public Awareness and Outreach
We through Public Awareness and Outreach Program are working tirelessly to educate the masses about preventive measures to reduce the burden of infectious diseases. Our trained young volunteers of VFAHT are disseminating the information to the general public at the grassroots level. On World Tuberculosis Day 2022, a total of 11 activities were conducted.

IPAC Foundation released its quarterly podcast about the Spread, Symptoms, and Prevention from the Omicron Variant of COVID-19.
Infectious Diseases Centers
Our first facility 'Chiraghdin Infectious Diseases and Community Health Center' is providing free-of-cost services to the neighboring community. A free medical camp starting from January 2022, every day from Monday to Saturday is catering the patients against a number of infectious diseases. It also serves diabetes and hypertensive patients.
Here is a Data Sheet of the camp during the first 03 months. 

Community Health Program
We have organized 04 Health Camps in the first quarter of the 2022. It aims to educate, screen, and vaccinate people against Hepatitis B & C and Tuberculosis. A total of 969 people were screened for Hepatitis B&C, and 943 were vaccinated for Hepatitis B.
A TB Chest was initiated on the commemoration of World Tuberculosis Day to highlight the importance of organizing such camps. Early detection in the targeted communities and provision of timely treatment can reduce the burden of diseases.

Telehealth Infectious Diseases Clinic ensures advanced quality and free medical services, readily available for everyone at a distance of a phone call. Here are the graphical representations for the months of January, February, and March 2022.
Highlights of the Quarter

MoU Signing

IPAC Foundation signed an MoU with Al-Mustafa Trust to establish a Hepatitis Clinic within the premises of Al-Mustafa Trust Medical Center Lahore, and run Community Outreach Programs together to combat the increasing burden of infectious diseases.

Meet & Greet | VFAHT Volunteers

M. Sameer Shafi, MD (Chairman Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation) hosted a Meet and Greet session for the newly elected members of National and Local Councils.


Chairman's Visits

M. Sameer Shafi, MD (Chairman, Board of Trustees, IPAC Foundation) paid for a tour to Pakistan from March 03 - March 13, 2022.
He visited Al-Mustafa Trust Medical Center and discussed the upcoming Hepatitis Clinic Project. He also paid a tour to Chiraghdin Infectious Diseases and Community Health Center, Sialkot, and monitored the services and the patient flow.

Vice-Chairman's Visits

Umar Farooq, MD, MS (Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees, Infection Prevention and Control Foundation) had a meeting with the Principal, Services Institute of Medical Sciences during his trip to Pakistan. He also accompanied Principal SIMS for the tour of Health Camp organized in the college by IPAC Foundation. He also paid a visit to Chiraghdin Infectious Diseases and Community Health Center, Sialkot and observed the services and functions of facility.
