A Note from the President

PRSA Nebraska understands that its members look for value in everything they do. With your recent survey feedback, you have reinforced that opportunities for professional development and networking are most important, and we are actively working on additional value-enhancing tactics to implement in 2019 and beyond.

Frankly, one of the challenges that many professional organizations face today is meeting the diverse needs of its members and prospective members.

Our PRSA Nebraska chapter enjoys a healthy mix of members practicing 15+ years and as well as new professionals. Needs and perceived value differ in terms of:

  • networking and career-building opportunities

  • programming that enhances skills

  • programming and opportunities that address industry-specific or organization type interests (in-house, agency, nonprofit)

While the PRSA Nebraska chapter continues to receive positive feedback about programming and events, we know that there are other challenges: time required to attend programs and events, distance (for our members who are outside of Omaha) and cost.

With every challenge, there is an opportunity. We will continue to keep you informed of ways we are committed to building value for you.

As a final note, don’t forget to take advantage of your PRSA Nebraska member discount for the upcoming ON Brand event.
