I don't know if it's common practice for authors to do this, but I want to share the foreword with you.

Beyond the Bible itself, two books every Christian ought to have in his or her personal library are Lance Mosher’s Transformed: A Spiritual Journey and the current volume. Each will help lay a solid, biblical foundation upon which to build and strengthen one’s faith, while serving as a valuable resource for outreach and group studies.
In Clouded by Emotion, tackling a vast and complex subject, Lance provides reasonably concise, easy-to-understand, biblical explanations of the Holy Spirit and His documented work.
Lance does a masterful job confirming biblical authority, while demonstrating how to contextually interpret and apply biblical truth. His careful analysis of Scripture offers sound guidance for the uninformed and corrective instruction for the misinformed. The straightforward approach pulls no punches when challenging subjectivity and confronting error, but it is never demeaning or unkind.
Most chapters begin with a real-life, personal account, making the study practical, meaningful, and applicable. Lance writes with conviction, humility, and concern for the spiritual wellbeing and eternal destiny of his readers. Study this book with an open Bible and an open heart, and expect a deeper appreciation and clearer understanding of the critical role and efficacy of God’s Holy Spirit.

Brother Kevin's assessment of the book is both humbling and encouraging. I hope you also find the book completely Scripture-based.
