Postponed: December 26th Supreme Court Hearing on al-Walajeh Residents' Appeal
22 December 2021
The following alert has been jointly issued by Ir Amim and Bimkom.
As a follow up to our previous alert this week concerning the decisive December 26th Supreme Court hearing on the al-Walajeh appeal, the court today postponed the hearing to an unspecified date. Following a request submitted by the al-Walajeh residents’ attorney, the court agreed to defer the hearing.
It should be noted that the postponement was due to a technical issue and not indicative of a change of circumstances concerning the case. That being said, the demolition freeze on the 38 homes remains in place.
Ir Amim and Bimkom will continue to update concerning any further developments.
