Power BI for Government Training is running Virtually

Birgit from Yarra Ranges Council attended Power BI Training for Government this month with minimal Power BI experience. Hear what she had to say:

Really valuable training. It is amazing how Power BI can transform data into a telling story within minutes. The pace of the day was customized, which worked perfectly to make sure everyone gained the most out of the day. Thanks Warren, looking forward to doing more advanced training with you in the future!

Would you like to learn Power BI as well? Check out this Link or reply to this email and ill send you the full synopsis of the day

Azure Maps

Azure Maps is now in preview and includes the following visualisation layers:
  • Bubble layer
  • 3D bar chart layer
  • Reference layer
  • Custom tile layer
  • Real-time traffic overlay

Personally, I am finding it very slow but I am expecting big things. See more information for all the May 2020 updates from Microsoft here.

Which way to the best map in Power BI?

If you are interested in maps and Power BI come along to my presentation at the Berlin Power BI User Group on August the 6th. (9pm EST time)

I will take you through how best to tell data stories with maps and compare the capabilities of ArcGIS versus Mapbox versus Power BI standard maps and the recently introduced Azure maps.

This presentation has been well received in the UK, Nigeria and Sydney.
