Here’s what’s happening now:

Between Dec. 22-Jan. 5, there were no state reports on congregate living settings or childcare and school clusters, a period of 2 weeks.

State prison data continued to be updated and Wake County announced new congregate living outbreaks without sharing the extent, or number of cases and deaths.

In the tally of last available state reports, prison and county health reports, there were 36 known and ongoing outbreaks at congregate living settings.

Now, there are 43 announced active congregate living outbreaks. In the 2 weeks without reporting, there have been 214 new confirmed cases reported and 11 people have died. [details]

🦠 Childcare and K-12 clusters continue to be higher in Wake than other Triangle counties or Mecklenburg County. [new clusters]

🦠 The median percentage growth for new confirmed cases in Wake County in the last week is above 10%, according to Raleigh Convergence’s weekly analysis. [ZIP code breakdown]
