The Raleigh City Council is considering allowing more multifamily housing development in neighborhoods currently zoned for single family housing, and it's expected to be discussed during today's 7 p.m. meeting, the News & Observer reports.

It's being considered as a potential solution to add more "missing middle" housing through a text change. [more info]

Also on the agenda for the 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. meetings: Staff recommends city-owned property east of Moore Square as potential site for 120+ units of affordable housing, a Greenway safety report, recommended action steps for more green stormwater initiatives.

What else to know:

Anyone for high tea?
 Asali is now offering a high tea experience at their cafe in Cary Mondays-Thursdays. Reservations (for two or more people) include a pot of tea, assorted tea sandwiches, labna spread, olive palmiers, assorted desserts (such as macarons, tarts or scones).
