The rate of confirmed cases in Wake County dropped in the last week to 201 cases per 100,000 people from 241/100,000 people. This rate is a rolling 14-day average.

The median growth for Wake County ZIP codes decreased to 1.6% week-over-week growth, a low point recently twice before. Last week it was 1.7%.

The percent of tests that are positive in Wake County is slightly above goal level for the fifth week at 5.3% down from 5.6%. This number is a rolling 14-day average. The statewide percentage is at 4.5%. Officials say 5% or lower is the goal level.

Congregate living facilities in Wake County: 8, up one outbreak.

Apple's RTP location was confirmed by Wake County officials to Raleigh Convergence on Thursday as between Louis Stephens Drive and Davis Drive, on both sides of 540. The location is near Cisco and Parkside Town Commons in unincorporated county land near both Cary and Morrisville. [map + story]

The Downtown Cary fountain will be closed for a bit while the new Downtown Park continues construction. Find ducks at local businesses beginning Saturday that you can take home, write your name on, and then put in the fountain at designated times later this month. When the fountain re-opens, the town will bring the ducks back. [info]
