A regular feature with guest curators -- subscribers like you -- who share their perfect day in the Raleigh area.

This week's guest curator: Allie Lochiatto

About Allie: I’m Allie, an IT Consultant by day and a blogger and social media maven by night who happily calls East Raleigh home with my boyfriend, Ryan, and our two boys – a rescue pit-bull named Oliver and mini pig named Willy. I am a creative at heart who loves a closet full of color, weekend explorations, and a chilled glass of Pinot Noir.

Allie's perfect day in Raleigh:

Morning: I like to start my day with a sweat at FlowCORPS, a local boutique fitness studio.

I then head to The Third Place (best drip coffee and vegan banana bread around) to answer emails, plan out social content for the day, and get ahead on my workday.

Midday: For lunch, I grab a tuna melt from Carroll’s Kitchen (my all-time favorite sandwich) and take a stroll downtown, popping in and out of shops and stopping in Moore Square to enjoy the city views. I love supporting local brands and businesses... Raleigh is full of them!

Early evening: After spending a few hours working on my blog, Allie Wears, we’ll pack up the car with our two boys and head to Dorothea Dix Park for some fresh air. Oliver loves to run around the grass and Willy loves to eat it.

We’ll then stop at Trophy Brewing Co. for a beer, preferably their Trophy Wife Session IPA.

Dinner: We only live a few miles from downtown, so we enjoy renting Citrix bikes and heading into the city. We bike down to the Person Street area to grab a drink at William & Co (I love their vibe) and a slice of pizza at Oakwood Pizza Box.

Post dinner, we might head downtown to meet friends at Watts & Ward for a cocktail. If we’re not up for a night out, we stop by Treat for a late-night snack… mint chocolate chip with chocolate sprinkles in a sugar cone, to be exact.
