A dashboard of hospitalizations with demographic breakdowns, updated Tuesdays and Fridays. Wake County is part of the Capital Region Healthcare Preparedness Coalition.

📊 A new COVID-19 clusters report. Updated on Monday afternoons, the first week’s report showed clusters from social events and family gatherings have increased. The number of cases associated with clusters from religious gatherings also increased in September.

Montfort Hall is now Heights House: The 1858 Italianate-style mansion in Boylan Heights, recently renovated into a forthcoming boutique hotel, event venue and gathering space, has a new name. 

Heights House Hotel's owners Sarah and Jeff Shepherd revealed the new name, reflective of its modern values, and design by Paul Turoto. Heights House is now booking events for 2021 and 2022. [website]

NC State delays spring semester start, planned for in-person instruction, cancels spring break. [WUNC]

Kindergarten enrollment is down 12.5% this school year in Wake County, according to an EdNC report, a trend seen across the state. Kindergarten isn't required in North Carolina.
