Hello fellow Aviation Enthusiasts! Hope you had a great 2019, and New Year! We here at EAA 753 are planning a year full of fun, and we hope you'll join us! To start this year off, we will have Jared Esselman - Utah Director of Aeronautics - coming to speak about Utah aircraft registration and the new airspace proposal to accommodate UAS drones. It should be very informing about the changes in aviation here in Utah!

As usual we will begin with a Potluck dinner. Please bring something to share—side dish, chips, fruit, dessert, drink, etc. or a suggested $5 donation.
Mr. Esselman's presentation will begin about 7:00pm.
----> The EAA holds regular Leadership Academy events throughout the country. This is an awesome way to learn more about the many opportunities and benefits the EAA provides as well as learning about helping, supporting and leading a local chapter. The training in Oshkosh includes all meals, lodging in the Air Academy Lodge and a private tour of the museum. For more information click here.
----> Each year local Chapter 753 members have the opportunity to elect local officers. If you would like to volunteer or you'd like to suggest am officer for 2020, please let us know by sending your comments by email reply to this email. We look forward to hearing from you.
----> EAA's 2020 World of Flight Calendars are now available. You can order your calendar here.----> As a reminder, the EAA provides benefits to those that maintain their annual membership. ----> All Chapter 753 memberships are on a calendar year basis. In addition to renewing your EAA membership, please renew your Chapter 753 membership. Your Chapter 753 membership supports our operating costs such as insurance for all meetings, Young Eagle Rallies, Flying Start Rallies, participation in the Spanish Fork Planes Trains & Automobiles Open House, and so much more. Please support your local EAA Chapter. More info will be available in the January email.
----> The Spanish Fork Airport will be reaching out to the aviation and local community in 2020 through a series of monthly breakfasts in addition to the annual Planes Trains & Automobiles Air Show in August. Please join us on the 3rd Saturday of each month beginning January 2020 for a pancake breakfast & fund raiser. No breakfast in July or December. Chapter 753 will host May & October. In connection with the May & October breakfast we will sponsor a Flying Start (Learn to Fly) Rally. It should be a fun year!
----> Please hold the date. Saturday February 15th we are planning a banquet with Chapters 23 & 58. The guest speaker will be Charlie Becker, Director of Chapters, Communities & Homebuilt Community Manager, EAA. Charlie is building a SuperCub clone that you can view here and has completed a Sonex. Charlie is also the President of EAA Chapter 252. The location has not yet been finalized. This will be a wonderful event to celebrate a year of activity and volunteerism while spending time with Utah aviators from several chapters. We hope to see you there.
----> The US Pilots Association and Florida Aero Club are sponsoring a week-long cruise of the Caribbean June 20-28, 2020. The ports are: Ft. Lauderdale > San Juan, Puerto Rico > Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas > Philipsburg, St. Maarten > Tortola, British Virgin Islands > Nassau, Bahamas > Ft. Lauderdale. Prices per person are $1,200 - $1,650 with a $250 deposit. Contact Dee Restaino for more info & to book your spot.
----> The FAA has issued a new Advisory Circular (AC) regarding Community Involvement in Airport Planning. This advisory circular (AC) provides information on community/public involvement in airport planning. It describes changes in standards and expectations for community involvement in airport planning since FAA drafted the previous version of this AC. You can download the AC here.
