Pittsfield Board of Health Issuing
Cease & Desist to Verizon TODAY!
The Pittsfield BoH unanimously voted to issue a cease and desist order to Verizon for the harm their cell tower has caused.
As this week's BoH meeting details, they are set to
issue the order today.
Verizon then has one week from receipt to respond.
The BoH hopes Verizon will come to the table and meet
their demand to remove the cell tower, but the BoH is
also preparing for legal action if necessary.
BoH Chair, nurse Bobbi Orsi, is very clear that it is
the legal mandate of the board to protect the health of every member
of the community, regardless of powerful corporate entities.
