April Showers Bring
Team Powers!

Riding alone can sometimes be intimidating, especially if you are not used to repairing your own gear or being out by yourself. Fear thee not! We have come up with a few tips that can help keep your ride be more enjoyable and mechanical-free.
Choose the Right Tire and Replace the Old Ones!
According to Roger of Kenda, "You should always inspect your tires before every ride for air pressure and damage. If you have any noticeable performance loss [losing air, frequent flats, no traction] when riding you should think about installing a new tire." Luckily, Kenda is having a sale on tires where you can get 45% off and free shipping through the end of April! Looking for road tires? They have them. Gravel tires? Got 'em. Mountain bike knobbies? You betcha! Use Code: KENDAPRO at Shop.kendatire.com
Tubeless Setup? Check Your Tire Sealant!
Once you have the proper tire and you are set up tubeless, be sure to check your tire sealant every month or so. We use Orange Seal for our rides and races on trails, gravel, and road. Here is a quick video that shows you how to top-off your sealant so that you can confidently embark on a solo adventure!
There is a good chance you are doing more bike wrenching yourself these days. It's important to make sure your Orange Seal sealant is topped off. In this video, Alli shows you how to do just that!
Check Out the Virtual Scene!
We understand that riding outside just might not be an option and luckily Voler does, too! You can still get your fix of racing and group riding via the Voler Zwift #TNR (Tuesday Night Races). These races have really helped us to stay connected (and socialize) with our cycling friends and grow closer as a team! It is wonderful to see the Voler community unite through these unprecedented times.

On Tuesday, April 7th, Nikki, and Jen did the Voler 'Sand and Sequoias' race. The event saw how many miles individual competitors could cover on the Zwift loop in 45 minutes. It was a sweaty good time! On April 14th, Nikki competed on Voler Team C with two men from the Voler Factory Racing team, a domestic road team. This race had three-person teams duking it out on timed KOM and sprint segments. Jen and Alli had a rest week but that didn't stop Jen from watching and cheering Nikki on via the Voler TNR Live Streaming with legendary announcer Dave Towle. Next Tuesday, April 21st, watch for Jen, Alli, and Nikki to #sufferinplace as they leave it all out there on the 5.2-mile two-person team KOM hill challenge!

If you want to join us or have questions about the racing, please reach out to us!
We hope you are doing well and that you are getting in great bike rides. Please feel free to comment on our social media posts to let us know what sort of rides you are doing!
