SAA General Assembly and election of the President and the Excecutive Committee

To the members of the Sequence Analysis Association (SAA).

Dear all,

This is to inform you that the 2022 General Assembly of the SAA will be held online until the 22nd of December.

You will receive the proposed agenda together with the annual report by email by the beginning of December and will have the opportunity to react, ask questions by emails and cast your votes until Thursday,  December 22nd, 2022. If required, a Zoom meeting could also be organized before this date.

According to the SAA by-laws, the president and members of the executive committee are nominated for two years. We therefore have to proceed with an election of the president and members of the executive committee.

The executive committee will propose Prof. Tim F. Liao for the presidency of the association. However, any regular member can apply.

As for the executive committee, all current members, except Philippe Blanchard, are ready to renew for the next two years. Senior and junior researchers willing to join the executive committee are welcome to apply. There is no limit on the size of the executive committee.

Interested SAA members should send a short application letter giving their motivation to serve as either president or member of the executive committee before December 6th, 2022, to info@sequenceanalysis.org. These letters will be joined to the documents that will be provided for the online general assembly.

Best regards,

The executive committee of the sequence analysis association.

SAA Webinar Series: stay tuned!

The Webinar Series is on hold until the upcoming spring semester, when we will resume the meetings with a brand new programme!

We will circulate the calendar of the webinars in early 2023: stay tuned!
