OCTOBER 2022

ISSUE: #10

Kia Orana ki to tatou au kōpu tangata o te eFAMILIES.

What a spectacular month we’ve had.

This month we highlight both the local and national wins of our Cook Islands and Pacific People in sports, business, and politics. From the 2022 Cook Islands Games, to the victorious win from our Cook Islands Rugby League team, we have really seen “Cook Islands to the world” in action. We also share with you a few upcoming business workshops and events that you may want to attend in the coming weeks.

Finally, we also wanted to take the time to acknowledge that this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every day, nine women in New Zealand are diagnosed with breast cancer, so it's likely that someone we know will be diagnosed, has had breast cancer in the past, or is supporting someone with breast cancer. The right support can make a difference, we send our love and support to those affected by breast cancer.  For more information and/or to donate a koha or your time, you can visit the Breast Cancer Foundation website here.

Special mention to our CIDANZ Community Connector Service team and CIDANZ staff for volunteering in the Ribbon Appeal Collection in Mangere on Friday 28th October – great work team!

Meitaki ma’ata e kia manuia.
