Campus and Huntsville community members gathered Friday to peacefully protest for the Black Lives Matter movement and encourage citizens to vote in the November election.

FUMC Kicks Off Fall Season with Annual Pumpkin Patch

As fall arrives, the preparations of the season start with a brand-new pumpkin. In Huntsville, locals know the fall season is accompanied by the First United Methodist Church’s annual pumpkin patch. For at least 20 years, the FUMC hosts the annual pumpkin patch in their church courtyard with the goal of raising money to support their youth ministry and the community, FUMC Director of Youth Ministries Kelsey Houser said.

Show Must Go On: Virtual Sammypalooza Concerts Begin Homecoming Week

Sammypalooza, the annual concert at Sam Houston State University, has featured some of the hottest artists and bands in America such as Gunna, Daya and the Eli Young Band. It was originally scheduled for March 25. However, due to the widespread outbreak of COVID-19 Student Activities decided to postpone it until Fall 2020. Now, many students are eager to know what Sammypalooza will look like and if it’s still happening.
