Each October the Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month. This year's theme is Christ Our Hope, In Every Season of Life! Please click here to read the "Respect Life Reflection".

The Fall Campaign is underway (September 25th-November 8th). The Fall Campaign kickoff meeting was held at St Joseph’s Parish in Marietta The keynote speaker was Shawn Carney, President/CEO of 40 Days for Life

We still need prayer warriors to witness for the unborn in front of Planned Parenthood. Prayer Vigil location is the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood, 220 Cobb Pkwy N #500, Marietta, Georgia 30062. Vigil hours 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Click here to go to the 40 Days for Life site and sign up for a time slot. The site will request you log in, or you can create a new sign in account if you don't already have one. And prayer works! Former abortion providers report that when YOU show up to pray, the no-show rate for abortion appointments can go as high as 75%!

Transfiguration Schedules Teen DASH Event!
On October 27, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, Transfiguration Teen Ministry will have a TEEN DASH event. Teens will be able to get a snapshot look at various parish ministries (4-15 minute sessions) as they go from room to room to learn about ministries at Transfiguration. Our Respect Life Ministry will have our own room where we will give teens an overview of the Respect for Life Ministry, it's activities, and how teens can be involved with the Ministry.

Respect for Life Makes Prayer their First Tool.
The Transfiguration Life Ministry is embarking on a program making prayer a priority. Prayer is recognized as the most effective method for changing hearts when it comes to abortion. In the upcoming months various prayer reminders will be provided to parishioners, encouraging daily prayer.

The Pregnancy Aid Clinic is seeking a registered nurse to serve our clinics in Atlanta, Forest Park and Roswell, GA. The Number of reported abortions in Georgia increased by 4% in 2018
The AJC is reporting the increase in abortions reported by the state Department of Public Health. Other important facts presented are that Georgia gained 100,000 residents between 2017 and 2018 and the number of abortions performed in Georgia each year is more than the population of some of Georgia's counties. Aborted Fetal Tissue Used for Vaccines
Unbeknownst to many, aborted fetal tissue is used in the development of vaccines and other drugs. These may include: Enbrel for rheumatoid arthritis, Zostavax for Shingles vaccine, Aranesp for diabetes and renal failure, and Repro during angioplasty. Such tissue is also used in the development of flavor enhancers.
