Women's Heritage Celebration - July 13th & 14th

The Women's Heritage Celebration is an annual celebration of women’s work in the home and community, with activities for the entire family throughout the village grounds.

This year’s event focuses on women as “makers” showcasing traditional and contemporary skills and creations. Women makers who practice a variety of traditional and contemporary skills will be demonstrating and working on their creations throughout the village. A maker’s space in the Clam Factory will give visitors a chance to learn a little bit about a lot, and maybe inspire you to pick up a new hobby, or re-kindle old interests. The majority of makers will be on-site on Saturday but there will still be a number of activities on Sunday including traditional skills demonstrations throughout the Village grounds and select maker demonstrations and activities in the Clam Factory.

Sunday Ecumenical Church Service - 1:00pm
Rev. Tricia Ingram will be leading the ecumenical church service at 1 PM in the historic Clam Harbour Church here at Memory Lane. All are welcome! Organist Pearl Akers will be returning to play the pump organ in the Church. Come and sing along to traditional hymns from the 1940s.

Solar Powered Museum Update

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Grand Unveiling announcement at our Dominion Day event. It was a wonderful day, and we ended up seeing the best attendance ever for our July 1st celebrations. Our solar panels are in the process of being installed and we've been steadily working on reducing our energy consumption. At the moment we are just waiting for the last few parts to arrive before the panels are all installed and we can start producing! We will make an announcement as soon as everything is up and running.

In the meantime, we still have about $1000 left to reach our fundraising goal and will be leaving the campaign up on Crowdrise until we meet that goal. They say the last mile is always the hardest, so let's "git 'er done" and cross that finish line!
