Solar Powered Museum Campaign

Thanks to all of you, we are leading the charge and are well on our way to fundraising the $29,000 we need to reach our goal of becoming Nova Scotia’s first 100% solar-powered museum. Plot your course and make a weekend of it with one of our overnight packages. Or, choose from Sampler, Grazer, or Feaster ticket bundles, packaged according to your seafood stuffing capacity. We are very excited to announce that Aurea Voces, Canada's newest early music ensemble, is coming to Memory Lane on the evening of Father's Day. This will be a don't miss event, so be sure to book your tickets early!

Father's Day Antique Car Show - June 16

Enjoy a wide range of vehicles on display throughout the Heritage Village grounds. There will be pecial Father’s Day draws and great snacks in the Clam Factory.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Orientation / Refresher: Our annual Volunteer Orientation is coming up on May 23rd. This year we will have two drop-in times, 2-4pm and 6-8pm. It's the perfect time for folks to come introduce yourself, learn more about volunteering at Memory Lane, and get a tour of the Village. Please contact us at 902-845-1937 or email info@heritagevillage.ca if you have any questions or would like more information.

Spring Cleanup: Our annual spring clean-up is this Saturday, May 11th starting at 9:00 AM. Dress warm and bring rakes and gloves. There is a lot of brush to clean-up. If it rains, there are inside jobs too! Please contact us at 902-845-1937 to let us know if you can make it, and if you plan to stay for lunch.

Painting Crew: We are looking for a team of volunteers to help with exterior painting of some of the Village buildings to give them a re-fresh for the season. Painting would happen during nice days. Volunteers are asked to bring their own paint brushes. If interested, please contact the Village at 902-845-1937.

Items For Sale

Fluorescent Light Fixtures: We have recently replaced all fluorescent light fixtures in our buildings as part of our Solar Powered Museum Campaign upgrades. The fixtures are now all for sale to the best reasonable offer. Heritage Society members have preference.

Wine Glasses: There are 120+ wine glasses free to a non profit or for sale for best offer. They are slightly foggy from dishwasher use. If interested, please contact the Village at 902-845-1937.
