The Nova Scotia Forest Festival is a showcase of the many ways Nova Scotians connect to the Province’s forests for their livelihood, housing, recreation, food, and heritage. From visiting "Creatures of the Night" to learning to throw an axe or paddle a canoe, come and enjoy an array of activities in the fresh fall air!
There are so many different activities happening! From guided nature walks with a Mi’kmaq interpreter and a naturalist to a vintage chainsaw display and demonstrations of the Heritage Village’s woodworking equipment, shingle mill and steam-box. Lots of things to taste as well, including marshmallows, maple syrup and fried bread dough (on the wood stove).
Take a peek at the festival schedule and plan your day! Help us reduce waste and keep our forests green by downloading a copy of the schedule onto your mobile device, if possible, instead of printing it!
