amazing pieces, spectacular 1957-58 Boucher necklace bracelet and earrings set, superb craftsmanship - KTF Trifari Philippe Tricolour fruit salads bracelet, varying two link designs, late 30s, incredibly rare and wonderful -  the most stunning 1959 Trifari Philippe fashion jewelry, Etoile aurora and blue lavarock necklace, with new Vogue full page colour advert - the most remarkable 1941 giant Mazer multicolour butterfly, repeatedly described as important, and dated, by a January 1941 Women's Wear Daily article...

never seen before sterling pendant bird cage, a canary embedded in the lucite, just like the Anthony Sterling Cat and Goldfish bowl pin - and here begin the solved mysteries - an entire series of striking and superbly made Trifari pieces, now named 'Esplanade', and dated 1961... adding a pin and earrings tonight (in olivene, citrine and topaz), and identifying many other items on site, especially in emerald, fuchsia and olivene (as the big pin above, which carries a search link to the series) - superbly made, post-1955, Trifari with a 'C' pin, identified now as a (red) pineapple, with another new advert, giving a 1962 date...

and more - multiple Reja mysteries resolved, by advert evidence (like the earlier, never seen signed, 1947 Reja Seahorse)... a dancing couple, here before, never signed (we formerly misattributed to Mazer), now known to be Pierrot and Pierrette, by Reja, in 1948 - flower baskets and earrings, again never seen signed, now securely attributed to Reja, continuing the 1947 Gardenesque designs in 1948, no longer sterling - and these secure other identifications, and a 1948 date, for the Reja Wisteria pins, for example...

spectacular patents and adverts - early 1942 rare Corocraft Sterling Crane Bird pin... Trifari Philippe 1946 patented heart pin clip and earrings, with Harpers Bazaar Vogue advert... Trifari Sterling Philippe Arrow through the Ear earrings, revisiting a 1934 design in Brunialti's 1997 Italian book, firmly dated from the late 40s clips, and a 1946 advert from Birmingham Alabama...

Trifari Philippe World War Two patriotic red white and blue fighter plane, with October 1940 advert, part of the surge in US patriotic jewelry design and production after the fall of France - classic Boucher Bees on a honeycomb, long-ago Brunialti-dated from the serial number, confirmed by a new 1965 advert, from San Antonio TX - another bee, most charming of the fine Walter Lampl Sterling and enamel pins, a bug never here before - and a 1948 MB Boucher Ballerina, in ruby and turquoise, post-sterling variant on a 1946 design, and another addition to the ballet collection, an obsession for Boucher during the 1940s, designs repeated and refined, from 1944 onwards...
...and tonight's update adds 'Columbine', from the 1949 'Ballet of Jewels', the culmination of Boucher's ballet designs, as shown in the classic Vogue full page advert - completing the whole set of 8 pieces pictured and named there... all now on site (with even rarer additions - see the search links below)...
