 Cat Tales

A tale of what's happened is happening and will happen in the Alley.

January 2020

Alley Cat Sightings

The Gallery has been filled with holiday merriment as some of our artists dropped in to spread their Christmas cheer.  Oneta Cole visited the gallery and set up shop, December 8.  Mississippi writer Laurie Parker joined us for a book signing of her children's book "It Really Said Christmas" in late November.   And Jerry Robinson and Linda Peters were on hand to greet guests at a holiday filled reception for singer Guy Hovis.
What a fun time we've had these past few weeks.  We are always happy to see our artists and hope you will stop by anytime for a chat.  If you would like to set up a demo, display or workshop, please contact Daphne Taylor by email or phone.  We will swing the door open for you anytime...Come On In.

Love or Something Like It
at The Claude Gentry Theatre

Love or Something Like It, a musical revue of love and anti-love songs, performed by Big Tony & The Gentrys (Anthony Hopper, Clark Richey, Amye Gousset, Leah Petty, Barney Davis, Amy Davis, Paul Langley) along with special guests Marty Hurt, Phyllis Robinson and Toni Johnson.   Performances will be February 21 & 22, beginning each night at 7 pm. Admission is $15.  A guest reception will follow each performance at The Alley Cat Gallery.  The graphic used in promotion of the show is a reproduction of “Small Worlds,” a painting by the extraordinary artist Sylvain Chamberlain.

Just a few of the MANY things
going on in the Alley.

We especially loved our time with Guy and Sis Hovis a few weeks ago.   Following a sold out Christmas concert at The Claude Gentry Theatre on December 14th, Guy and his wife Sis visited with some 90 guests at a holiday reception in his honor held at The Alley Cat Gallery.

The Hovis' were so impressed with the gallery.  They spent a long evening enjoying the celebration, did a little shopping and said they look forward to returning to our "little slice of Heaven" very soon.

Visit the gallery Facebook Page to see more pictures from this very memorable event.
