 Cat Tales

A tale of what's happened is happening and will happen in the Alley.

February 2020

 Alley Cat Sightings

The Alley Cat Gallery, along with other downtown Baldwyn merchants, will host its first ever First Friday Art Walk.  The event will feature guest artists, musicians, authors, candle makers, comic book illustrators, and much more.   The monthly event runs from 4pm until 7pm the first Friday of each month.  We are excited that artist Rebecca Browning will be our featured artist at the February 7th Art Walk.    We hope to see you there.

Clark Richey stopped by the studio of Alley Cat artist Scott Mitchell this month for a visit.   Six Shooters Studio, The Alley Cat Gallery, Running Wild Films and Scott are partnering in a new project.  More details to come on that soon...in the meantime, let's just say these two buckaroos' are working "lickety split to get everything in apple pie order".

Love or Something Like It
at The Claude Gentry Theatre

Love or Something Like It, a musical revue of love and anti-love songs, performed by Big Tony & The Gentrys (Anthony Hopper, Clark Richey, Amye Gousset, Leah Petty, Barney Davis, Amy Davis, Paul Langley) along with special guests Marty Hurt, Phyllis Robinson and Toni Johnson.   Performances will be February 21 & 22, beginning each night at 7 pm. Admission is $15.  A guest reception will follow each performance at The Alley Cat Gallery.  The graphic used in promotion of the show is a reproduction of “Small Worlds,” a painting by the extraordinary artist Sylvain Chamberlain.

Just a few of the MANY things
going on in the Alley.

NEW POTTERY
Beautiful pieces in the gallery this month by artist/potter Tab Boren of Tab Boren Pottery.   Stop by and add to your collection or find that perfect piece for a gift.   We have plenty of Baldwyn Blue in the gallery for anyone who wants to take home a little piece of historic downtown Baldwyn with them.

Stop By.

We are in the Alley Thursdays & Fridays, Noon to 6pm, and Saturdays 11-3.  Or contact us at 662/601-7329 to set up a private viewing of the gallery.
