Dear Living Faith Uniting Church Family and Friends
"Jesus replied, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified." John 12:23 NIV
Friends, the time has come for us to ponder and meditate on the greatest miracle of the Christian faith - Jesus's death and RESURRECTION!
To assist you, our team are providing a range of resources for you over this Easter season. You will find the following on our church website www.livingfaithuniting.com
1. Maundy Thursday written reflection, a "hand washing" inspirational video, prayers and worship songs for use on Thursday 9 April
2. Good Friday sermon, prayers and worship songs
3. Easter Sunday sermon, prayers and worship songs
Full instructions on how to access sermons, worship songs and prayers are immediately below my letter (just scroll down).
Why not help others that are self-isolating by sharing the instructions with them on how to access our online resources - let's bless as many people as possible with a message of hope!
I want to thank everyone involved in providing content, research and expertise to create a vibrant online ministry. I am grateful for the support and dedication to our church in the circumstances we find ourselves in. I also want to express thanks to the stewardship team who continue to work. Your commitment is outstanding and the congregation are so grateful for all that you do!
I also want to highlight important information from the Church Council which is contained below in this newsletter. We would appreciate your time in reviewing the documents.
Please feel free to spend a moment focusing on the photographs above my message. These are pictures I took of the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem last year. It is one of the sites in where it is believed that Jesus' body was laid and from where He may have rose again. It's a special experience to look at the pictures and then close your eyes as you imagine the events that took place in this location over Easter. I remember a hole in the "roof" of the tomb through which sunlight streamed through; the light of the world shining in the dark places. As you meditate over the meaning of this season, allow God's light to pour into your soul - the hour for Him to be glorified in our lives is here!
