MINISTER'S MESSAGE
 GREETINGS FROM REV IRIS

Dear Living Faith Uniting Church Family and Friends

"...See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut..." Revelation 3:8 NIV

The beautiful stone gateway above in Jerusalem reminds us that when God opens a door in our life, nothing and no one can block us from passing through the entrance. So often when we step out in faith, we begin to feel fearful or doubtful about how God's plan will play out. However, when God is for you, no person can stand against you. God's will cannot be thwarted.

Every good gift, opportunity or blessing that we are given, comes from God and must be returned to God in praise. When God unlocks the key to a door we've been struggling to open for some time, we can joyously proceed into the next room of life. Jesus specialises in giving us freedom and release. What open door has God placed before you that He is leading you to walk through by His power?

We are so excited to see what doors God will open among us as we consecrate ourselves to hear from Him during the 24 hour prayer vigil this coming weekend. We still have some available spots and I encourage you to sign up and be a part of what God will do in our personal lives and in our church. The link to sign up is below in this email.

Please note: From 1 November, we will not meet in the church building on the the last Sunday of each month. Instead, the last Sunday of the month will be an online service available through our church website www.livingfaithuniting.com.au (Click on "Online Ministry") or our YouTube channel.

Important notice regarding Communion: We will share in communion on Sunday 1 November - what a  celebration there will be in heaven when we do! We will be using Covid safe communion wafers and cups which will be handed to you at the door. Please keep these until the end of the service. These items can be tricky to open, so you are also welcome to bring along your own piece of bread and juice if you prefer and take the church communion cups home for later use.

Walk with God into the doorway of life He has ordained for you!

Your friend,
Iris

Trinity on Tap: Theology is here!

Trinity is excited to announce that Trinity on Tap: Theology booklet and podcasts are now available for you to download for free.

This short course provides an introduction to the practice of theology—what it is and why it matters. Using the Apostles’ Creed as a framework, it surveys some of the foundational commitments of the Christian faith and what it means for the life of believers today. Students will get a sense of how different doctrines are connected, and why engaging intellectually with the scriptures and the Christian tradition is important for making sense of faith in our contemporary world.
