Dear Living Faith Uniting Church Family and Friends
In a world where harshness and suffering seems to be the order of the day, it is refreshing to remember that Jesus is not a God of pressure, but a God of love. The Bible says this, "A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice." Isaiah 42:3 NIV This verse displays the trustworthy nature of our God.
We will discover more of God's incredible nature as we journey through the Seven Striking Sentences course starting on 21 February. I encourage you to join a small group so that God's word may become more real for you. He seeks to touch our spirits in a special way that will refresh our lives.
Part of the experience of this course will be a set design on stage which has generously been built by members of our church. This will help us further to fully immerse ourselves in the experience of moving from a past that we cannot change; to a future filled with hope from beyond ourselves.
You are encouraged to get onboard with what God is doing in our church. Be a part of this journey which started in Jerusalem, and now like never before, is reaching the ends of the Earth.
Have a peace-filled weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
