SAiF provides critical services to St. Albert and area families. We have learned important lessons over the years regarding: the impact a clear mission and purpose serves; the employ of strong policies and practices; the power of mobilizing others to a cause; and how we can lead in these areas to set an example for staff, stakeholders, and our community.
It is for these reasons and more the Board is pleased to announce Mark Dixon as our new Executive Director. Mark has been serving as SAiF’s Interim Executive Director (ED) since October and has formally been selected by the Board of Directors to take on the permanent ED role effective December 19.
Mark brings an extensive background of marketing, communications, and strategy to this role in addition to his community engagement and fund development experience gained through his various roles including the Rotary Club of St. Albert and the St. Albert Youth Mental Health Hub.
As we look forward to a new year, SAiF will be doing some things differently. Expect to hear from us more often as we reach out to current donors, past donors, prospective donors, other supporters, and partners. The work we do supporting children, adults, elders, and their families in our community is important and we look forward to sharing our story with you.
