For decades, movements and organizations lead by women and girls have been the source of activism and action to promote women’s rights and to address violence against them. 

VOICE exists to promote their leadership and expertise doing so, particularly in settings of conflict, crisis, or disaster. We are an organization that partners with local women and girl-led organizations take back the critical spaces and conversations that have been lost or overtaken by larger agents, and that do not address the direct needs of the most vulnerable people in their communities, which are, of course, women and girls. 

This is why we ask for your help. Through the support of your invaluable donations, VOICE is able to respond with new, feminist solutions that truly speak to the needs of women and girls. During the COVID-19 pandemic, in which we have seen the magnitude of impact on these groups, we are able to facilitate virtual learning sessions, consultations, and capacity-sharing workshops on a daily basis. We do this in 14 countries and counting, and in multiple languages. Over the last six months, VOICE has provided over 100 hours of direct technical support hours directly to women- and girl-led organizations, and over 15 different virtual joint learning sessions for over 125 frontline actors throughout the world. 

With your support, the voices of women and girls are being heard across the humanitarian sector, and we are generating transformative change. In August and October, over 300 of you joined VOICE for webinars centering the experiences of women humanitarians, and addressing the massive issue of sexual exploitation and abuse in this industry. Our calls for change are growing #LOUDER, and our mission to amplify the voices of women and girls is being actualized.
