You can't have Thanksgiving dinner without the amazing sides...after all, the sides bring the whole meal (and family) together! I know most of us have our family traditions, but there's nothing wrong with making the side dishes extra special this year. The best part is that you can make them all ahead of time for a stress- and hassle-free Thanksgiving day...let me show you how! 

My Gumbo Mac 'n Cheese is a great example of this! The perfect cross between tradition and a Chef Jamika-style twist. I took the ingredients from a New Orleans style gumbo (the smoked sausage, sautéed peppers and onions, and gulf shrimp) and tossed them in a spicy three cheese sauce with pasta. I guarantee this is unlike anything your mouth has ever experienced! 
My Spicy Southern Collard Greens will remind you of your Grandma's cooking, with rich flavor and a little kick! My secret: browning the turkey first and tasting your broth before the greens go in. Greens take on the flavor of the broth they're cooked in, so once your broth is perfectly spiced, salted, and flavored, your greens are guaranteed to soak up all that deliciousness in each bite!
Dressing is the understated champ of the holidays, and no Thanksgiving dinner is complete without it! 

My Southern Cornbread Dressing gives all that delicious flavor in moist, perfectly portioned bites. My tip: when making dressing, don't bother chopping a bunch of onions and celery by hand. Just put them in a food processor or chopper to save time!
