We are pleased to announce the first of a two-part social justice and equity series, Listening, Learning, Leading:  Equity and Social Justice for Black Students, a panel discussion with student voices and supportive educators.

We understand that educational inequities exist in schools across a variety of identity dimensions, and we are committed to disrupting inequitable practices, examining biases, and developing inclusive, culturally responsive teachers.

Now more than ever, there’s a sense of urgency to ensure all students experience the right to feel welcome, safe, supported, and valued within the school and classroom environment. Their academic futures are at stake! Given the national conversations and spotlight shed on systemic racism and other disparities and inequities, we must work together to foster more inclusive climates and practices. This is why our series starts with a focus on the Black student experience in the school and classroom.

We are committed to increasing awareness, encouraging conversations, and supporting actions that will result in fostering a transformational experience where Black students can thrive and be successful in every class, every day.

Please join us as we engage with a panel of educators and students to hear their voices about their experiences. We believe they will add value to your learning and development journey.

We hope to see you virtually on
Thursday, October 8th, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
