"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today." Matthew 6:34
Annual Fall Meeting of the Fellowship
The Fall Meeting of the Fellowship of Congregational Christian Churches will take place via Zoom on Sunday, October 18 at 4pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Pastor Nancy for login information.

Reminders About Worship in the Sanctuary
This Sunday, we are planning to worship in the sanctuary.   If you are attending this Sunday, please enter the sanctuary by one of the two green doors on Miner Street. Please enter on the side you intend to sit on, as the sanctuary will be divided down the middle. As you enter, please take advantage of the touchless hand sanitizers mounted to the walls on both sides of the narthex.
You will be required to wear your mask when in the sanctuary. Free cloth masks will be available for your convenience as you enter. An offering plate will be just inside the door on each side of the sanctuary.
Singles and couples should sit in the center pews, while couples and families should sit along the walls. Every other pew is roped off. Do not sit in a roped off pew. In the center pews that are not roped off, the spaces on both ends are marked "Please Keep This Seat Free." Singles and couples should sit in the middle of these pew, avoiding either end in order to comply with physical distancing guidelines. Please fill the seats toward the front of the sanctuary first, leaving the seats at the back for last. Welcoming deacons, one on each side of the sanctuary, will be available to answer your questions, help you get seated, and meet other needs.
If you are feeling unwell or unable to attend for any reason, please note that the service will be taped. Look for the videotape of the service on our YouTube Channel around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

Food Donations for Amazing Grace
Did you know that each month, over 800 families shop at the Amazing Grace Food Pantry in Middletown? A family of four can receive three days of groceries from the food pantry once per month.  We have been collecting non-perishable food items for Amazing Grace and will deliver all donations at the end of next week.  Please bring a contribution with you to worship on Sunday. Items most needed are pasta, pasta sauce, baked beans, peanut butter, canned tuna, boxed cereal and mac 'n cheese.  You can leave your contributions on the designated table in the narthex.

Holiday Poinsettia Order
In order to guarantee delivery by December 20th, we must submit our poinsettia order to the greenhouse by November 1st at the latest.  The cost for each 6.5" red poinsettia (5-7 blooms) is $8.00.  Payment is due by November 15th.  Order forms will be available in the narthex on Sunday.  You can also request an order form via email and we'll get one to you quickly.
Video Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers to record the Sunday worship service once per month.  You can use your own equipment or borrow it from Jeff Yardis.  If you're able to help, please contact Pastor Nancy or Jeff Yardis.
Adult Bible Study Theme October 21st: Strength
The third session of our Adult Bible Study will be held this coming Wednesday from 10-11 AM.  Out topic will be "Strength."  If you would like to participate, please listen to the 3 minute meditation and watch the video at the "Strength" link above before coming to the lesson.  If you have time, please read the Bible passage.
There will be in-person and Zoom options for those who wish to participate.  Please let Pastor Nancy know if you are interested, or if you have any questions.  If you are interested in doing the lessons but unable to join the group, the format lends itself to that option.

"Our Members Speak"
If you haven't already contributed to this video for our webpage, you'll have another opportunity after worship this Sunday,10/18. Jeff Yardis is looking for just a few sentences that will give prospective members a taste of why you are a member of Third Congregational Church. Please remain in your pew at the close of worship, if you are willing to say a few words.
