Communion Sunday Service
This week is Communion Sunday.  If you wish to take communion from the safety of your home on Sunday, please be sure to have some bread and juice or wine available.

Our service will be recorded on Saturday and you'll receive an email that will include a YouTube link to to the recorded service, and an attached Order of Worship.
  You can also launch the service from the "Worship" page of our newly designed website.
 
Fellowship Time on Zoom -- Sunday, 1/3
This Sunday, our Zoom  Fellowship Time will be held  from 11 - 11:45 AM.   The email containing login information will go out on Saturday morning at 10 am.
 
Bible Study on January 6th 
Bible Study will resume next Wednesday when the group will study Paul's Letter to Philemon.  If you plan to participate, please visit Philemon at the Bible Project site to read the letter prior to the meeting.  A reminder email, including Zoom login information, will be sent to all regular participants next Tuesday.  If you would like to join Bible Study, please contact Pastor Nancy.
 
Christmas Giving
Thanks to the support and generosity of our congregation, the Missions and Outreach Committee was able to donate a few hundred dollars in gift cards, as well as clothing, toiletries and other items to the charities selected this year:
              The Eddy Shelter, an emergency shelter for the homeless in Middletown
              Gilead Services, serving individuals and families living with mental health conditions
              The Veterans Home and Hospital in Rocky Hill
In addition, the committee was able to use donations to assist one of our church families. 
                                                     Many thanks to all who contributed!
 
Clothing Donation Shed Now Open
The clothing donation shed in the church parking lot, which was temporarily closed due to the pandemic, has now been reopened.  This shed is designed to give community members a a clean and convenient donation option.  St. Pauly Textile Inc., the company that provides the shed, partners with businesses and various organizations to distribute donated items both here in the U.S. and worldwide. 

In 2019, the company was able to help keep over 20 million articles of clothing out of landfills, which clothed an estimated 2.5 million people worldwide. St. Pauly Textile is an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau.  Accepted items: clothing, shoes, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, curtains, pillowcases, and
stuffed animals.

We're working now on the next edition of the Third Church Newsletter.  If you have a story and / or photo you'd like to contribute, please email it to the church office by January 8th.

Visit the Gallery for a scroll down memory lane of recent and not-so-recent events in our congregation.  You'll find pictures of members and friends celebrating Sunday services (indoors and outdoors!), baptisms, holidays, special occasions, charity events and more.  To add one of your photos, email the photo file and a brief description of the picture to Chris Foley and we'll get it posted ASAP.

Current Office Hours
Rev. Nancy Lois, and our administrative assistant, Chris Foley, have office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-3PM. Our pastor is available to meet with you or visit you at your convenience at other times during the week. She also checks church voicemail and email daily Tuesday through Sunday. Monday is her day off.
