“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.” Philippians 2: 3-4
Message from the Pastor
I want to thank all of those who took the time to participate in the Zoom conversation last week. I believe the meeting achieved the purpose of moving the conversation off Facebook and onto a platform more conducive to the respect we owe one another as members of Christ’s body. On Tuesday, the Marketing, Membership, and Communications Committee further addressed the issue of posting on Facebook. The Committee decided to change the way posting takes place on our church’s group page to eliminate the airing of grievances in public. All posts are now being reviewed prior to being displayed on the page. If you are unhappy with something that is happening at the church, please refrain from using Facebook as a platform. Instead, seek the appropriate channel of communication within the church. If I have done something that concerns you, I hope you will contact me directly to express your concerns in a respectful manner. If you are not sure whom to contact, please feel free to ask for my help. I will try to point you in the right direction. At all times, please treat everyone as a child of God who is made in the image of God. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Try to speak from your own experience and perspective and try to avoid characterizing others unkindly. I believe it is possible for us to have differences of opinion while remaining together as Christ’s body. May it be so.

Join in the Fun
Contact Jeff Yardis to learn how you can help tape, edit and post videos of Sunday services. Each service is taped on Saturday morning.  You could be the first to hear Rev Nancy’s message and work with Jeff to produce the finished video that is posted on YouTube.  Maybe you’ve wanted to create some videos and were intimidated by the software.  Well it’s not hard.  Jeff will walk you through the video taping and the editing process.  If you want in, let him know you're interested.  You can email Jeff, or call him at 860-305-4128.
