Stay Safe Everyone

Climate Governance Malaysia is delighted to bring you webinars while we are coping with the pandemic. Do sign up for our specially curated program on Tuesday 12 May 2020 with the All Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia on Sustainable Development Goals which was approved by the Parliament on 17 Oct 2019.

Apologies for the short notice but there is also a second webinar happening today featuring Mark Carney, UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance, and former Governor of the Bank of England and Hon Malcolm Turnbull, former Prime Minister of Australia, details below.
What is it about?
The session will focus on areas especially relevant to the most vulnerable, the B40s.  The proposals will be based on the SDGs, and achieving the overarching goal of leaving no one behind, while doing purpose driven business.

Areas that will be covered?
Addressing grassroots issues that Covid 19 has exposed to build resilience against future shocks. This will include housing to create communal welfare or social capital, building food self-sufficiency, ensuring energy and water security, protecting health, creating green jobs, reaching the most vulnerable at times of crisis.

Expected outcome of the session?
To provide concrete proposals which can be undertaken in partnership with the corporate sector to (i) address the present recovery needs, (ii) be better prepared to face future shocks such as those brought by climate change impacts.
