Last month I wrote about how, at CANNEXUS 2023, I was struck by the number of sessions focused on big-picture issues in our field. I saw more than ever before Career Development Professionals (CDPs) assuming our place as researchers, experts, strategists, and advocates. Our Sector Spotlight this month celebrates Lynne Bezanson’s leadership and her receipt of the Etta St. John Wileman award as well as an update from CERIC on the award going forward.
Lynne is the Executive Director Emeritus at the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF). In presenting the award, Jennifer Browne the chair of the Wileman award selection committee recognized Lynne for her remarkable career and contributions to career development in Canada and internationally. The Real World LMI Challenges is a collaborative initiative from the government of New Brunswick and the Canadian Career Development Foundation. Educators across New Brunswick are using the Real World Challenges with groups of students or their classrooms. The Real World Challenges are designed to integrate Project Based Learning with any curriculum outcome, and any size group. Read more

Ce mois-ci, dans L'actualité dans notre secteur, nous soulignons le leadership de Lynne Bezanson, qui a reçu le prix Etta St. John Wileman, ainsi qu’une mise à jour du CERIC sur le prix.
Lynne est directrice générale émérite de la Fondation canadienne pour le développement de la carrière (FCDC). En remettant le prix, Mme Jennifer Browne, la présidente du comité de sélection du prix Wileman, a reconnu la carrière remarquable de Lynne Bezanson et sa contribution au développement de carrière au Canada et à l’étranger.
