We have previously been informed that this bus service is unlikely to operate from 24th July due to financial cuts, however, it is currently not dropping off at the Sage due to planned roadworks as a result of the new building under construction.
Information on the Gateshead Council website states that the roadworks will take place between 6th June and 23rd October 2022 with partial road closures during this time.
There is also similar information on the Go North East website.
Please tell the bus driver where you are going, and they should tell you where the nearest or most accessible stop will be.
Newcastle City Council Car Parking Charges
The City Council have amended proposals for parking charges as a result of feedback to an earlier public consultation.
They do however intend to charge for city parking up to 7pm in the evening for on=street and surface car parks. There will also be a standard hourly charge for Sundays rather than the existing fixed daily charge.
The new fees will come in to force in August, once all the signage has been updated.
