Get involved in the community this Memorial Day and join Veterans for Peace, Lloyd EcoDistrict, and SOLVE volunteers from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm to clean up Peace Memorial Park and the surrounding areas (Eastbank Esplanade, Convention Center, Moda Center). Volunteering at the park this Memorial Day will be a great way to contribute to a public place that was established to honor victims of war, both military and civilian.
Due to COVID restrictions, pre-registration is required to limit the number of volunteers. If you would like to participate please sign up here quickly before spots run out or join the waiting list.
Can't make it on Memorial Day? We also have volunteer slots available for cleanup on Saturday, June 26th. More information here.

Rose Festival Porch Parade comes to Peace Memorial Park
For over 100 years, the Portland Rose Festival Parades have entertained and inspired the Portland community and its visitors. This year Lloyd EcoDistrict is joining the Rose Festival fun and activating the space at Peace Memorial Park for this year's Porch Parade from May 31st to June 13th.
On Memorial Day we'll be partnering with local artist Irene Ramirez to add pollinator and rose-themed chalk artwork throughout Peace Memorial Park during the Porch Parade. There's a possibility that the rain may wash away the art before June 13th so make sure you're able to take in all its beauty before then!
LED Lighting and Controls: Preparing for the New Normal
In the post-pandemic “new normal” commercial property occupancy patterns may be very different from the past. Property managers who have not upgraded their LED lighting or controls will be at a disadvantage in terms of flexibility and operating cost. Join Lloyd EcoDistrict and Conserve Energy for a lunchtime webinar on Friday, June 11th to learn more about lighting controls and current financial incentives available for interior and exterior lighting projects.
