From the President

Happy Labor Day, CRHRA!

It’s been a busy summer for CRHRA, and our work has set us up for an exciting fall. We held 2 successful socials, one at Rivers Casino on June 13 th , and the most recent at Saratoga Race Course last week. If you
were unable to attend, I hope you checked out our social media accounts to see all the fun had by your friends and peers. Make plans to join us for our events next summer!

Our regular program schedule is set to resume on September 11 at the Red Lion Hotel in Albany. This event will feature a panel discussion about the investment of time and money that HR professionals and their organizations make in preparing new supervisors for leadership roles. Please join us for “Supervisor Boot Camp: Investing in New Supervisors’ Success.”

New York State SHRM’s Annual Conference, “Stepping into the Future” will once again be in Albany. If
you are following our social media accounts, you know that CRHRA is continuing a long tradition of
support for our state conference. Scheduled for September 22 – 24, the conference will feature a lineup
of great keynote speakers and sessions. Check out the conference and register here.

however, the skill set required to oversee others with the same functional responsibilities is altogether
different, requiring an investment in the newly promoted supervisor to ensure that they have the
essential foundational competencies for a successful transition from “Self-Responsibility” to “Team
About our speakers:

them will be HR/OD professionals from Hudson Headwaters Health Network, LeverPoint Management,
and New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) to discuss how they have used the Supervisor
