A Year In Review At The Salon

When we reflect on year three at The Salon, countless heartwarming memories come flooding back. We began 2022 with DEI Workshops on Zoom and a Food Summit featuring the badass women tending local farms, ending waste, and fighting hunger in Pittsburgh.

In the months following, we gathered at art galleries, went kayaking on the Allegheny River, made seasonal wreaths and charcuteries, shared recipes at potlucks, and created spaces for parents, BIPOC women, 20 Somethings, and female entrepreneurs to meet, talk, and support one another in their shared experiences. And in between scheduled events, we could be found hanging in The Salon Studio enjoying coffee and connection with members and friends.

We’re proud of The Salon community and humbled by the strong, forward-thinking, and talented women who’ve made it all possible.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with an open mind and heart, brought a friend to an event, engaged in a conversation with someone new, and helped make year three at The Salon the best.

Cheers to making more memories in 2023!

See you next year,
—Meredith

~ Our community grew by 15%!

~ We got together for 125 events in 2022!

~ And 2,700 Salon members and friends showed up to take part in the fun!

The Salon is a place to dabble in the unknown. We provide an admittedly eclectic (but community-led!) range of programming. One week, it might be an academic discussing the gender pay gap. Next, it might be wine tasting and hipster puzzles. Indulge in new things with us! And if it makes you a bit nervous, that might be a good thing. Find out for yourself what we’re all about.
