Living-room learning

Get creative this lockdown

Eglosyow Morek Kernow
Cornwall's Maritime Churches
Whether you're a volunteer or a follower of the Cornwall's Maritime Churches project, we want to help you get creative during this period of lockdown.

We may be hitting the two month mark of lockdown in the United Kingdom, but we are also celebrating those who have worked with our project through this difficult time. From our third-year students who have worked tirelessly on their dissertations to our Volunteer Coordinator, Becky, who has recently said her goodbyes and will be sorely missed.

This term's newsletter will not only be celebrating some of the great achievements in the past few months, but also looking forward to some engaging new content. From a virtual lecture week to a shout out for fresh new talent to be apart of our film-writing programme, we have many new learning opportunities for you to take advantage of, from your living room.

As spring moves into summer, so our project continues to bloom...
Celebrating our new content!

Virtual lecture week

Between Mon 18 and Sun 24 May, we will be hosting a 30-minute virtual talk daily. From experts, heritage professionals to creative enthusiasts, login and enjoy a different topic each day, told in a variety of mediums.

From podcast fun to live presentations, the week will culminate with a film screening and introduction to our resident film maker, Kyle from Down South Point of View film company.

Don't miss our film screening of 'Shipwrecking Nature' on Sunday 24 May, taking place at midday. Kyle, our in-house film maker will be talking through his own film projects, including adapting historical fiction for the camera.

Research deadline!

The end of the project is now in sight, which means we are now putting all your brilliant research onto the website.

If you are a researcher and are writing a church overview for its web page, the deadline is the end of May.
