Dear friends,
It's May and we are slowly approaching IDAHOBIT, the International Day against Homophobia, Bisexophobia, Transphobia and Intersexphobia on 17 May. On that day, we traditionally focus on the rights of queer people and point out social and/or state discrimination. At the same time, ILGA Europe, the pan-European federation of national LGBTIQ+ organisations, publishes the annual ILGA Europe Index as well as the Rainbow Map, which provides information on progress in each country. Rosa Lëtzebuerg, as Luxembourg's representative organisation, has been contributing to the results of this report for years and will also publish and comment on the results in the coming days.

We are also slowly but surely moving towards summer. The government has now announced some changes last week, so that our plans for this year's Pride edition are finally taking shape. It will most likely come down to a hybrid solution: the individual events, where possible, can take place with a limited audience. A street festival like in previous years, that was clear to all of us quite early on, unfortunately cannot happen this year. Instead, we are now working at full speed and under constant consideration of the protective measures currently in force on a "Pride Show" where audiences will be possible. The show will be streamed live at the same time and there will be public viewings, which in turn will also be part of the Pride Show. We hope for the best and will publish more details in the next few days.

In this newsletter we also talk about the Worldfetish Show Contest, which, like the Eurovision Song Contest, offers members of the fetish community from different countries a platform for their talent. Luxembourg will participate for the second year in a row.

Enjoy reading and best regards,
the board of Rosa Lëtzebuerg

Corona sucks! And even if the bars and restaurants are partly allowed to open their terraces again, it is still not allowed to sit together from different households. So do you want still to meet other people again or just simply talk to someone? Do you have something on your mind? We care!

So mix yourself a nice cocktail or grab a glass of lemonade and let's hold our monthly #RosaAfterWork online.
Our Rosa After Work is inclusive, nevermind if you identify yourself as a member of the LGBTIQ+ Community or an ally, everyone is welcome!

When: Wednesday, 12.05.2021
Start: 19.00
Where: Facebook

25 years of Rosa Lëtzebuerg
Open Call: share your memory with us!

This year our association celebrates its 25th birthday. Due to Covid19, we will be celebrating later this year with a Séance Académique. For this occasion, we would like to invite our members to share their experiences and stories about our organisation in order to document the history of Rosa. Especially the founding years would be of great interest to us, but later periods are also very welcome.

Do you have pictures, videos or objects that you associate with Rosa Lëtzebuerg? Or would you even like to contribute in the form of interviews or as a member of the working group? Then we would be very happy to hear from you! Just contact us at

Looking for a new item to pimp your already (over the top) queer outfit? Many of you may know our Merchandise stand during the Luxembourg Pride. We have created a webshop so you can do your shopping without any waiting queues and it is also the perfect opportunity to support your local community! A Pride is heavily dependent on your support, so please show us your love and help Rosa Lëtzebuerg to survive these difficult times so that we can organise further events and other projects for you in the coming years.
Just head over to and have a look around our webshop! Don't wait too long, we have a few items on sale, so get them while you can!

When several events fell victim to the pandemic last year, some people from the SFLC (Spanish Leather & Fetish Community) came together with organisers from other countries and put on a live show lasting several hours. The principle is explained quite quickly, because it is based on the well-known model of the Eurovision Song Contest. Participants from several countries compete with a performance, which is then judged at the end by the country juries and the audience.

After the two "Tom's of Luxembourg" competed for the Grand Duchy last year, the reigning Mr. Bear Luxembourg, Paul Feitler, will try it this year! Rosa Lëtzebuerg was present at the video shoot and we are already curious about the final result.

For more information, read Paul's guest post on our website and on Facebook. We keep our fingers crossed and hope for many "12 Points goes to Luxembourg"!
