Update on COVID 19 and the Club

Just an update, at this stage there  is NO club sanctioned training offered  to our members. We are working towards getting the club open the safest way possible.

We need to follow guidelines and rules from the Government before we can do this. We also need approval from City of Joondalup before we are allowed to open the club up.

Please watch this space for more information in the coming weeks.
Woodside Nippers

With restrictions easing I can feel the air of excitement from some of our nippers and their parents  in the possibility  of some training resuming soon.
Can I stress at this stage there  is NO club sanctioned training offered  to our members I am working hard with our awesome  board coaches to come up with a way we can recommence board training that follows all government  protocols, guidelines and  most importantly making it safe  for our members to attend. This will also need the Board Of Director’s approval.
I’m aware that a lot of our nippers and families have been getting out on the water themselves and this is fantastic. Can I encourage all our nippers and families at Sorrento to take a leadership role in the community and follow the guidelines. Make sure social distancing, hygiene directives and also not loitering in groups is adhered too (especially when at Sorrento) not only is it the right thing to do it’s also worthy of fines not doing so.
I’d like to thank everyone for their patience so far and I will be informing you all of any changes as soon as there is any to inform you of.
Congratulations to Harriet Chin who was awarded Sorrento Nipper achiever of this season by SLSWA. I look forward to presenting you with your award when we are able to do a formal presentation at the club.
We have also put the in the below nomiations for the SLSWA Awards of Excellence.
