Sorrento IRB Team on the weekend

Club Updates - COVID

Dear Members,

On Thursday 29th April Jess our admin manager accepted a delivery from a confirmed case of COVID (Case 1004) at the club. Jess met the person at the door, got the package and they left straight away, they were not inside the building at all.

As a close case, Jess has been told by the department of health that she needs to isolate for the next 14 days as she has come into contact with the person. Her first test has come back this morning negative which is great news.

Jess will be working from home for the next 14 days so if you need anything please email or you can visit the office on Tuesday from 9-3pm or Friday 8-11am when our bookkeeper Peta is in if you need anything from the office/club.

There is no need to panic if you have been down the club since Thursday as case number 1004 was not inside the building at all.

Please make sure you are wearing masks at all times when inside the club building and outside unless you are doing exercise. Please also scan or sign in whenever you enter the building.

If you have any questions about this, please email us on

Annual Dinner

COVID-19 has presented a range of challenges to our members and the community over the last 12 months, particularly in the last two weeks.

This has included an impact on member finances as well as effecting the event teams ability to pull together an event within a week following lockdown.

It is with regret that the Board of Management have made the decision to postpone this year’s event.

Although disappointed we are pleased to be able to present the event in a revised format on the new date of Saturday 29th May 2021.
On behalf of the Board of Management we hope you will join us at the event to celebrate season 2021 on Saturday May 29th.
