On Saturday evening I had the honor and pleasure to receive the Woodside Nipper Club of the Year award on behalf of our awesome team. It will be soon hanging in the club for all of our members to admire.
Unfortunately, I was unable to take the whole team to the night because it’s so huge but we had a good representation.
I somehow had the microphone for a few minutes on the night and neglected to speak about the awesome team we have at Sorrento the hard work from all our Senior Age Managers, Assistant Age Managers, Coaches, Water Safety, our families, our set up and pack up crew and ourBBQ volunteers. Without all of your involvement this would not have been possible so I thank you all in the role you play.
It’s really important that we are all proud of our achievement because it’s taken a huge amount of work to get here.
We are the Woodside Nipper Club of the Year!!!!!!!!!
The biggest thank you is to our wonderful Nippers, the way you have all embraced the mighty green machine and the commitment to testing yourselves and having a crack at all age groups on Sunday's mornings and throughout the week at our many training sessions is inspiring.
Congratulations to Ron Morris for receiving the presidents award for his commitment to surf and our club and to Garry Bunford for the Official of the year!
I’d also like to acknowledge our other club finalists on the night your all winners in our eyes!
