Volunteers for Watermans to the Wall
We need the below volunteers for the weekend, If you can help out, please comment below so i can keep track of everyone.
1) Athlete Check in.
Requirement:
6.00am check in for a 6.30 commencement, Club main hall.
Need 20 people for this job
2) Finish setup.
Requirement:
6.30am commencement
Need 4 people for this job
3) First Aide setup
Requirement:
6.30am commencement
Need 2 people
4) Start setup
Requirement:
Ron Clarke will be in charge of this operation. Meet at Watermans beach 6.30am.
Need 3 people
5) Water course setup/event water safety
Requirement:
Meet Lawson in the boat shed at 5.30am
6) Water Safety from Shore
Meet in boatshed at 7:30am
Need 8 people
7) Water surveillance Ski/ board
Requirement:
Meet Colleen in the boatshed at 8am
Need as many people as we can get.
8) Team Change over points
Requirement:
Set up check points on the water’s edge at a) the MAAC and b) just north of the southern groyne (opposite the BP servo).
You will need to be in place by 9am
Need 4 people
9) First Aid
Requirement:
Report to Barry Rogers at 7:45am
2 people at each the START, the MAAC and the BP SERVO BEACH. 4 people at the FINISH.
Each point to have Oxygen, defib., Radio and a medical bag.
Need 8 people
10) Race start marshalling and counting
Requirement:
Report to Ron Clarke at the start.
2 x chute directors
4 x athlete counters
1 x race announcer (Aemon Ryan)
1 x megaphone.
1 x starting gun
Need 7 people
11) Race finish marshalling counting and athlete check off
Report to Christine Cougan
2 x chute directors
4 x athlete counters/iPad tappers
4 x athlete check-in persons
1 x race announcer (Aemon Ryan) optional
1 x megaphone.
Need 8 people
12) Baggage handling
Requirement:
The ute and trailer will return from the start with the athletes’ bags.
This gear is to be unloaded and placed in the hall in the corner next to the main TV.
The trailer will return to the club at approx. 9.20am
