CONVENTION IS COMING!!

Convention is COMING!  Before you know it, June 15th will be here!  We all welcome the chance to meet again in person, the first time since 2019.

NOW is the time to register. You won’t want to miss our keynote speaker Joe Tychonievich, an excellent speaker and respected author. He will share with us tips for gardening without having to do a lot of kneeling and getting down onto the ground something I’m sure a lot of us will appreciate as our knees get creakier. Earlier in the day the garden tour in Gorham has spectacular gardens that you won’t want to miss. More specific information on these, along with more photos, will be in the May issue of the GCFM Thyme to Grow newsletter. In the gardens will be vendors selling hostas, iris rhizomes, daylilies, clematis, succulents, and garden decorations. Following the tour there will be a workshop on how to make infusions, oils and teas from plants, using calendula as an example.  Our speaker Emily Springer will have kits available after the program for purchase if you wish to try this at home. The program on Wednesday features artwork by GCFM members, as well as floral designs done to interpret the art also by our own members.

The deadline for early registration is May 30th, to reserve a hotel room at the Sheraton Sable Oaks the deadline is May 18th. You can find the form on the GCFM website; it is designed so you can complete it on your computer or print it out and complete it by hand before mailing it in.  We look forward to seeing many of you there!
