It's nice to concentrate
on other things
Hi <<First Name>>
After two years of leading walks and then 15 walks in 3 weeks in May, it's been nice to have a break. I've spent the summer walking mainly alone and going over the final touches for "Tales from a Country Churchyard", the story of interesting residents at St Michael and All Angels, Thursley. I'm not quite ready to go back to leading walks (it will happen soon), but I did not want you to miss out on my upcoming launch.

For the last year, we have been working on 'Tales from a Country Churchyard', the story of some of St Michael and All Angels' churchyard's notable residents. For this time, we have been helped immensely by the many folks sharing their family stories and local knowledge.
I wanted to send you a personal invitation to the 'GRAND LAUNCH' of the book, at St Michael and All Angels, Highfield Lane, Thursley (GU8 6QQ) on Saturday 17 September from 12 noon to 2 pm. The Rev. Hannah Moore will open the event at 12.15 pm with a few words. If you are coming by car, please follow the parking signs.
This event is offered with many thanks to the people from the church and village.
I will be there, selling and signing copies of the books alongside other members of the churchyard working group, and we would love to show you around the ground to acquaint you with some of the more notable memorials.

At the same time, we will be launching the coffee table book 'Pictures from a Country Churchyard', which contains photographs of some of the featured memorials.
On the day, paperback copies of 'Tales from a Country Churchyard' will be available for £15 and hardback for £20. Pictures from a Country Churchyard' will be available, hardback only for £25. Special offer for both (hardback copies) £40. Payment can be by cash or card.
Our friends at the church will be offering light refreshments if you are interested. Please could you R.S.V.P. by 7th September so we can have an idea of numbers?
If you have any questions, I hope they are answered on the website - www.guyjsinger.com - or you can reply to this email and ask anything.
We are excited about the event and look forward to seeing you there.
