Michelle Butler, J.D. joins Gotcha Covered HR as a Consultant, Investigator, and Mediator

Gotcha Covered HR is thrilled to announce that Michelle Butler, J.D. has joined the GCHR team.  

A native New Orleanian, Michelle brings over thirty years of experience in mediation and investigation to Gotcha Covered HR. Michelle recently retired from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where she engaged in complex litigation; conducted mediations and investigations; and was actively involved in staff training, most notably in the enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 

In 2019, Michelle was selected as one of the Nationwide Sexual Harassment Trainers for Enforcement Investigators, with an emphasis on strategies for interviewing victims of trauma in an investigation.

Michelle enjoys travel, film festivals, and theater, and she has been actively involved in the New Orleans Opera Association.

Wellness Spotlight

May is National Mental Health Month, a topic that is particularly relevant during the stress and uncertainty brought on by COVID-19.

Mark Schettler, the dynamic manager of New Orleans' Bar Tonique, Co-Founder of Shift Change, and collaborator of Gotcha Covered HR, has begun an initiative to support mental wellness for Greater New Orleans area during COVID-19.  Recognizing the need for mental health support for all at this time, Take Care Y'all was started as a new program to expand access & resources for mental & behavioral health support for all in the GNO area.  More information on Take Care Y'all can be found at www.takecareyall.com

This well-attended webinar provides information on maintaining consistency and compassion in all HR policies and procedures while ensuring a safe and inclusive return to work.

Supporting Healthcare Heroes!

This month, Gotcha Covered HR donated meals to frontline healthcare heroes through Jefferson Parish's Bites for Knights program.

Frontline healthcare workers at Ochsner Health - Main Campus received a delicious meal from Copeland's New Orleans in gratitude for their tireless efforts.

Co-founders Stefanie Allweiss, JD, and Patti Pannell, JD both have children working on the healthcare frontlines through COVID-19.  Our hearts are with all who are giving so much to protect the health of our community.
