Gotcha Covered HR in 2020

As we wrap up 2020, we look back at the year that has changed everything, from COVID-19 being the main event that changed the way many people work and live to the killing of George Floyd that brought light to racial injustice in our society with the Black Lives Matter movement.  In a year of elections with an unprecedented turnout of voters and with a record-breaking number of hurricanes affecting the economy, Gotcha Covered HR has worked with many businesses to overcome the workplace challenges that these events have brought.   From workplace compliance for reopening after COVID-19 to day to day business guidance, virtual meetings, employee handbook updates, review of leave and compensation programs, and expanding diversity efforts, we have provided training in topics such as Diversity and Inclusion, Preventing Harassment, Safety, and Wellness.   Contact us to learn how we can impact your workforce in the coming year.

Doing Good & Giving Back

Gotcha Covered HR understands the value and responsibility of giving back to the community.  This year we participated in a myriad of events where we volunteered hours in boards, panels, and attending and presenting webinars on pivotal topics such as Diversity and Inclusion, Mental Health, and Safety and Wellness.  We were also present during the hurricane season facilitating food and monetary donations for hurricane victims and hospitality workers, furthermore extending support to our four-legged furry friends from our partnership with Take Paws Rescue.

Growing with intent

In 2020 we welcomed Michelle Butler, Martha Martinez, Shannon Coleman-Cryer, and Juanita Hill-Kennedy. They bring a solid combination of talent and experience to the Gotcha Covered HR team.  We are a well-rounded and highly diverse team of seven Human Resources consultants with extensive backgrounds in litigation, investigations, conflict resolution, organizational structures, risk compliance, employment relations, talent acquisition, mediation of workplace issues, and more!  Our experiences range from industries such as Legal, Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, Banking, Oil and Gas, Gaming, and Technology.  When you contract with GCHR you have access to the whole team!  Click here to learn more about us.

 

This year we welcomed GCHR's first baby to the team, Ellis Marcus.  In addition, we will start the new year by greeting baby girl Luisana Hernandez!
